TRASSK Sowhridha Sayahnam 2009

Thrissur Association of Kuwait (TRASSK) conducted their first cultural programme for the year 2009 known as “Sowhridha Sayahnam 2009” on Friday 29 May’09 at Integrated Indian School, Abbassiya from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm as a “Carnival of Colours and Music” (by popular artists from Kuwait) with an aim of helping members who are in need of support in the turbulent crisis time.  His Excellency, the Indian Ambassador Ajai Malhotra was the chief guest of this event. Mr. Simon Varghese (well know business man), Mr. Sunny Kavalakkat (TRASSK Vice President) Mr. K.R Prasad (General Secretary), Mr. Jose Joel (Programme Convenor) Mr. Ibrahim Kader (Social Welfare Convenor), & Mrs. Shiny (Vice President, Vanitha Vedi) had given a facilitation speech. Mr. Ramaswamy (Treasurer) marked the vote of thanks.

TRASSK honoured Mr. Muraleedharan Nair Puthoor, one of our founders and first president of TRASSK, who is leaving Kuwait for good to his homeland Thrissur.

During the speech His Excellency, the Indian Ambassador Mr. Ajai Malhotra recalled his childhood visit to Thrissur along with his parents and extended his satisfaction for TRASSK activities specially the Social Welfare part, and promised full support from Indian Embassy for these kinds of activities in future. The Ambassador enjoyed variety of the programmes performed from different part of Indian culture and appreciated the idea of mix and match of the cultural programmes in this event.

With variety of so many entertainment programmes like, homely food-mela, sports, games, dance, music etc. with a very well participation from our members, well wishers and from the public support the event was a great success to achieve its target. 

Once again TRASSK extend its gratefulness to all for the help with physical, mental and financial support provided to us for this as another great success marked in our pages.
