THRISSUR ASSOICATION CELEBRATES INDIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Thrissur Association of Kuwait celebrated Indian Independence Day in a colourful atmosphere in Salmiyah. Members from Area Committees, Vanithavedi, and Kalikalam (balavedi) were participated in the celebration. In general the function was an attractive and memorable experience.

Inauguration of collection of useful and clean dresses for distributing to the orphanages was carried out by vice president Vijayan Thayat. He was grateful and enthusiastic to do this great event on the auspicious occasion of India’s Independence Day. He stated these kinds of functions are helpful to encourage patriotism and brotherhood among Indians. General Secretary Santhosh Cheeroth welcomed the audience.

Kalikalam members Rahul & Vignesh cut the ceremonial cake and distributed to members and Tri-color flag waving Kalikalam members sang patriotic songs. Felicitations were presented by Vanithavedi president Mrs. Suseela Ramachandran, Kalikalam Fahaheel area convener Vignesh Jayathilakan, Kalikalam Abbassiyah convener Rahul Rajendran, Central Committee member A.A. Iqbal and Kalikalam member Steffi Sunny Kavalakat. During his welcome speech Iqbal remembered India’s freedom fighters, Jalianvalabag & Mappila revolt and Quit India movement. The celebration was concluded by singing national anthem by all members.
