Thrissur association of Kuwait celebrated 65th independence day on 15 August, Monday 7:30 PM at Rhythm Hall Abbasiya . Mr.Afsal Khan Manager of Malabar Gold Jewellery , Kuwait was the chief guest for the celebrations.

The hall was filled with more than 500 members of association. The program started with a two minute silent prayer in remembrance of two members who passed away this year. Arts convener Mr.Salish paul delivered the welcome speech to all members followed by presidential address by association president Mr. Sebastian Vathukadan. Through their speech they both given an excellent message to members regarding Indian independence and wished all members a Happy remembrance day of independence.
 

Association advisor Mr. Vijayan Thayath verbalized the independence day wow to all of its members followed by felicitation speech by association general Secretary Mr. Steefen Vadakedath , Mr.Afsal Khan Manager of Malabar Gold and association ladies wing Secretary Mrs. Shiny Frank.
 

Seven area committee members performed attractively in patriotic songs which was very striking followed by patriotic quiz competition conducted by Mr.Shaju Paulose in which all members participated in high spirits. Fancy dress competition was also there with remembrance of freedom struggle in which first prize won by Master Jeswin Mathew followed by Master Pranav Manikandan and Master Gautam Prasad .
 

In between the celebrations a farewell was given to Mrs. Suseela Ramachandran the earlier ladies wing President for association .
 

Around 10 pm celebrations winded up with thanks giving speech by association Joint Treasurer Sreejith Srinivasan followed by National Anthem.
